If you cannot tell someone what you want to say?
What if you are afraid they would get mad at you?
Or that they won't let you say it, because they cut you off?

Who are you if you have misconceptions about the only important person in your life?
If you thought they were someone they weren't?
What if you think that you are wrong about everything?
Or that you can't see the truth about people?

Who are you if you don't like your own family?
If now all you see in them is the problems they have?
What if all you see is the problems you have with them?
Or that maybe its only you with the problem?

Who are you if you cannot read a person in a mask?
If that mask obstructs you from talking to the one person left in your life?
What if that mask pushes you away?
Or if the person doesn't even seem to care?

Who are you if your can't talk to your one confidant?
If that one person you felt safe with is now the unsafe person?
What if the one you really trusted, blew it all away with crap that doesn't even matter?
Or if that one person seems not to care about you anymore?

Who are you when you don't think anyone else knows who you are?
If you act different around certain people and you don't know why?
What if you are afraid to show your true self?
Or you think that the one trusted person will laugh, and not love you anymore?

Who are you when you aren't sure of anything anymore?
Well, that certainly sounds like me... [comments] => 3 [counter] => 147 [topic] => 48 [informant] => dragonluvsong [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 15 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )

Very good questions. I think you will come to see, just because we look at it, we see what we want it to look like.
Trust in yourself and ye shall be trusted. Believe in you. The others will believe too. As for the doubt, well it comes to all of us, Just find yourself (you already started) and think will seem clearer. God bless you. you're doing good.

Amazing poem! I'm surprised at how honest you are with yourself. It's such a strong quality. And it sounds as though someone has broken your trust. But, as one of my good friends told me, the most unfair thing you can do is not to trust someone! So, keep your head up. You seem to be on a healthy road to self discovery! I'm still thinking about all of your many and deep questions. Amazing!
