[bodytext] => Verse 1: As I gaze at the back wall of the hall, I remember all the childhood memories, that we shared, We knew the in’s and out’s of one another, Where we were at, who he hung out with, And what clothes we were gonna wear, Now nothing is left but the memories, that are sitting, on my shelf, Picture books filled with the messes we made, Friendship necklaces, Bracelets and trinkets we traded, Might as well burn the damn thing. Bridge: I thought that we would be best friends, until the end of time. Hanging out, at your house, spreading what was the latest word, I guess it’s in the past, because it seems it’s over, You were a time bomb ticking and you just, destroyed your world. Chorus: I wish I could’ve saved you when you started to stall, You went from your perfect normal self, to something I can’t explain, I saw it all happen, But what did I do? I didn’t know how to, help, you. Verse 2: It was you and I against the world, We were rebels, went against the grain, Pushed the limits, tried to challenge each other, To do something better, with our life, But all of this has changed, since you rearranged. Bridge: I thought that we would be best friend, until the end of time. Verse 3: I don’t know why, but I guess it has all been said and done, I want to know why, but I guess it’s in the past, Or is it still here? And maybe I don’t know? I thought it was all said and done, Or did you say that just for a run or two? I wish I knew the truth, but it seems as if you don’t know what that is, anymore. Bridge: I thought that we would be best friend, until the end of time.
