Peering out of the shattered window of my soul
I arise from my nightly eight-hour suicide
Mourning for the girl who has died
Comforted by the mist of depression hovering overhead
With no forecast of a slight breeze in years to come
I am left to fight on a crippled knee
As no one has heard from their eyes
Of the poor girl who has past away
The rivers of crimson tears flowing inside
Have redirected their release to the shores of hell
For I must walk on it’s burning beaches alone
The sun has now shut its blue eye behind sulking clouds
Draped over vast fields of remorse
As the moon rises in silent complicity
Shredding through the ebony velvet which dominates the earth
Dream seeds start to flourish under a moon shadow
With a beautiful nightmare emerging from their bloody shells
I lock my eyes shut from denial of what I’ve visioned
And peer inside with astonishment
For the girl who I have mourned for
Is the girl who has died inside of me
