My Angel

Contributed by desire on Sunday, 6th June 2004 @ 01:01:19 PM in AEST
Topic: didactic

i have an angel who loves me so,
and i love her more than she will ever know.
she came into my life and showed me love,
i know she was sent from God above.
no one else came in those painful years,
but she showed up one day and wiped my tears.
she helped me to better cope and live through,
all the bad things of which few people knew.
i had given up and let defeat get the best of me,
and her love showed me all the things i could be.
so it was with her help and through her eyes,
that i no longer listened to all the lies.
about how i would amount to nothing all,
it was her belief in me helped me stand tall.
it wasn't always easy cos she wasn't there everyday,
but she helped me find a pride in me that was taken away.
it made the hell i was living in easier to bear,
i wanted to live and inside i started to care.
about myself and how my life didn't have to be so unfair,
because there are people in this world who truly care.
i was finding in hope that things would be better soon,
i didn't have to live a life of gloom.
my angel came and took me just to get me away,
i loved so much going to her house to play.,
she had three girls and they were close to my age,
a time just to have fun and not worry about someone's rage.
being away from that house that i hated so much,
for a few days i would have and angels touch.
it was just like having another family on the side,
but this family had no monsters inside.
to scare me and make me feel bad,
being there is where, the best days of my life were had.
eventually i moved in with my angel and her family,
there was no one on this earth happier than me.
the monster no longer had its hold i was free,
i was free, free to be me.
i had a mother, three sisters and a brother there,
i was treated equally and fair.
loved and accepted by the whole family,
see my angel home was my destiny
even though i am grown and have sinse moved away,
i stay in touch with my angel to this day.
and still i love her so,
and everytime i go home to visit, it's to her house i go.
this is dedicated to my angel here on earth,
who saved me, gave me love and help me find selfworth.

THIS IS AN ODE TO A TRUE ANGEL.... it hits me short of words to know that such HUMAN ANGEL lives on our planet earth. By being an ANGEL to you, she has truly reached the hearts of people like me within the JUNGLES OF AFRICA.. Angels are hard to find and he/she that found one needs to thank the ALMIGHTY. A big THANKS to Aunt MARTHA for saving your soul, and by so doing, saving the sould of many born and unborn. THANKS AUNT MARTHA. for saving a soul. THANKS DESIRE for knowing how to thank AN ANGEL OF GOD. This is a real real real nice gesture and poem
