Array ( [sid] => 50470 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Rape [time] => 2004-06-04 23:14:20 [hometext] => At the age of ten I was raped by my uncle. When no one believed me I became very depressed and suicidal. Now almost eight years later, still no one believes me and that creep is still out there. [bodytext] => A blanket of white snow capes my backyard
Frozen sheets of ice growing colder and hard
Sitting next to my window, thinking of the past
Imagining all the love and passion while it did last
Your arms embracing me, consoling and soft
Now as I ponder the meaning of why it's all lost
Loving thee whom has stolen my heart and soul
Whose heart they have ripped by tended the hole
Some holes left open for all to look inside
You can not enter nor can you hide
I was living a bad dream that I couldn't escape
Torn from my sheets, a helpless victim of rape
Crying at night by the bed in which I lay
Dropping to my knees to the good lord I pray
To beg for his sorrow in which he has cost
And I beg for strength for all I've lost
If only that night were gone from my head
The horror I felt before I was dead
When he cursed at me...
And tore off my clothes...
Beat me so badly...
Now everyone knows...
Inside my coffin, he can not get to me here
I am an angel and I am now his worst fear
I said goodbye to the world at a young age
He should always be locked up inside a cage [comments] => 8 [counter] => 274 [topic] => 32 [informant] => Seans_Girl [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => SadPoetry )

On a personal note,I can relate. These words are poetic justice and getting it out helps enormously. The more people you tell, the better,(be it little) you feel! May God be with you...
Angel always...godspeed...joni

ah... if it helps at all, in any way, you now have a bunch of poet (me included) who beleive you and greive for you... may God or the Powers or whatever force of good there could possibly be open the eyes of the people who don't beleive you. i'm sorry, but i just don't see too many people lying about something like that.
love and many cares to you!

your poem was very moving. your family should believe you but live in denial because they dont want to even believe the possibility.

I can relate too. My uncle finally blew his own brains out. I was too young to tell anyone. I was far from his only victom.
I know how much courage it takes to write this. You'll never get over it but one day he'll get caught and someone else will where he belongs.
Hang in there. I jus can't understand why people would think u could think up a lie like this. It's really sad.
luv, huggs, faith, hope, prayer,
emy

OMG you don't even know how much I relate...I was raped not that long ago actually....and I havent told very many people...I thinl that if I keep it inside...it will just fade away, and I will be able to go on...I still consider myself a virgin, and anyone who was raped as a virgin should too...because I beleieve you are a virgin until you have sex both of you willingly, But yeah...I have a poem I wrote...but yeah if you want you can read some of my stuff and comment it...

From a male of the species....sorry for what he did !!.
Sometimes it really sickens me to think people can descend to something so vile.
He stole your innocence, I only hope that their is a shred of conscience in his evil mind
Good luck for the future

This is so moving, how incredibly strong and brave you must be. I truly hope you find a way to deal with this, I dont think you can forget, but maybe in time things will get easier. I cant believe your family wont believe you!!
Excellent powerful poem

I believe you, as I was also raped, not by a family member but I know how you feel, you have been very brave to express this in your poem.
You are winnning, you are still alive, and you have survived this, you will have bad days but you'll have good days too. Keep your chin up, everyay you are here you are surviving,

takecare

Pixie xx
