I'm with six other Iraqi citizens as well who suffered the same fate. They are examples of the brutality of the tyrant. These men had hands restored because of the generosity and love of an American citizen."
- Bush

You have mastered the art of double-speak
And should be put in an insane asylum
For self-destructive tendencies
Willing to capitalize on ANY fragment of good
An American citizen does
Not because you care,
But only to get your narcissistic face
On camera and another oppurtunity
To drag your country further into the
Darkeness that comprises your soul

Your face creased with concern
About the 'threat to democracy'
Note: all the limbs
That have been severed
By bombs, bullets, and other 'tragic accidents'
Over 6,000 dead
And no change in policy
Just the same sickening mantra
Of 'we're bringing democracy to an exploited people'
As you waddle about like a chicken with his head lopped off
Please bow before the 'new' tyrant

And now the revelations of abuse
Of the 'enemy combatants' and POWs
But thats OK right?
Since the Geneva convention
Is already covered in your feces
I guess the 'violent enemies of democracy'
Have a very valid point
And I hope you realize
That your regime and most importantly
YOU Mr. Bush are so covered in blood
That the stench can be smelled across the world
And that your ship is rapidly sinking with you at the helm [comments] => 3 [counter] => 194 [topic] => 41 [informant] => bobotheclown [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 2 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => political )

Sorry, not a fan of this one. Seems more like a rant than a poem.

too true. for some reason america has always thought that its interests were always jeopardized by at least one country and they usually threaten or something else to lessen the threat to our country. for one thing if he wanted to protect democracy he should have had the people's vote. or at least could have made iraq look like more of a threat. i think that a country shouldnt interfer with another country, let them have their own revolution, we dont need to be there for them to overthroew a monarch. have the forgotten that is how most of the first democracys were started? democracy is no better than communism or fascism, they all are capable of the same except the power is handled differently. and if governments that arent democratic are a threat then america has its job cut out for them, they have many countries to conquer and change. i think ive said enough, geez.

I agree.... and I feel sorry for all those who bought Bush's scemes... and those other countries that follow him into this blindly. I wonder if any of those "leaders" realize that it is the innocent people of all the countries who end up paying for this... well said Joel...
