Of how things could have or might have been
If you had just stayed in my life a lil longer
If you had just held me a lil tighter
If I had never left you and said goodbye
Saying goodbye was hard enough
But losing you shattered my heart into millions of pieces
You were once my hero for reasons only I knew
You were once the reason behind the beat of my heart
But as you walked away from me and out of my life
I was left here standing
All alone you left me, here on my own.
My world now has no meaning
You were once my reason for life
Then you broke my heart and left me to fend for myself in this world
I didn’t know where to turn or what to do
I was disoriented without you
I once saw you as my angel for always rescuing me in a time of need
But a real angel would never let me feel as much pain as you made me feel
So now I sit here and wonder
Will I be able to move on and love again?
Will I be able to forget about you, the love, and how much you hurt me??
Will I be able to hold back the tears if I see you again?
Was that our last goodbye?
I’m left with all these questions
All these thoughts that have been left unanswered
Its up to me to move on with my life, reclaim my heart, which you had once stolen
Piece it back together, and eventually with time give it to someone new
Someone who will treat me right and not leave me in tears in the end
Someone who will love me unconditionally
Someone who I can really stay “ he’s my angel sent just for me”
But until I find him
Which I know I will
He’s out there somewhere waiting, looking for me too
I will just sit here and wonder
Without you at all
Here on my own!
