Each of them longing to be the one who is free,
When Mr Hyde takes centre stage,
Dr Jeckyl stands well back to witness his rage.

As anger glistens and dances in his eyes,
Mr Hyde is on an ever and up coming rise,
Dr Jeckyl keeps a low profile,
But waits in the wings all the while.

It’s like a game of musical chairs,
The one who sits down is the that I wear,
Dr Jeckyl isn’t afraid of Mr Hyde,
He just doesn’t feel the need to stand by his side.

Both play out very dramatic parts,
They hold their character true to their beating hearts,
Dr Jeckyl seeks peace and true happiness,
Mr Hyde he thrives on anger and nothing less.

The swapping and changing of these personalities,
Takes place inside me and are not just a fallacy,
One knows no anger and one knows no fear,
It’s become a part of me to hold them both dear.

i really enjoyed that poem, your words grab your attention from start to finish. and i loved how you compared your inner stuggles with a classic figure head. very very well done.
