I never meant to cause you such pain
I never meant to break down and cry
It’s not enough, no matter how hard I try
And I can’t understand the simplicity of your love
Life was never suppose to be this tough
The fears I hold and all the false hope
The most destructive ways are how I cope
My goals too high and so unreal
All these emotions, the depths of what I feel
It’s never been me to not succeed
Just another wave of hate to feed
The lack of trust in the closest ones
As I swallow this pill, just another drug
A drug to correct everything that’s wrong
But the pain I’ve felt is far too strong
And I find it harder with each day that comes
As the past is gone and the game is done
And wisdom stems from the pain of his hand
As I become stronger and alone I stand
Self-strength surfaces from the years of abuse
And never again will I be used
The easiest concepts are so hard to learn
And in the flames the memories are burned. [comments] => 2 [counter] => 221 [topic] => 21 [informant] => CuttersAngel [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 4 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )

Hey, Cilla I liked this poem. I found it interesting that u placed it under life poetry instead of dark or sad poetry. I am sorry that you are currently feeling like s.hit. I hope that u soon find happiness whatever form that may come in.
"And never again will I be used"
I liked that line the best out of the whole poem it just emphathized your strength. I enjoyed the whole poem, however, as well as the rhyme. hang in there.
