Your brown eyes have since turned white
In the back of your head, they see no light
Why did you go? How could you die?
I look to God for the reasoning; no reply
It's been a couple of years now, but I still feel the pain
I wish you could have stayed and kept it the same
Could have seen me grow up, but you missed that
I'm still in school, but almost done
Wish you could see me graduate, and join the fun
Aren't you watching from where you are?
I'll be succesful, but maybe not a star
I owe it to you, for being there
I would have failed, if you wouldn't have cared
But I'll make it; I'll break through
And of course, I owe it all to you [comments] => 2 [counter] => 151 [topic] => 24 [informant] => ChristopherFriedrich [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 3 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LoveRemembered )

A wonderful write. I am so glad that you had someone like your grandpa in your life to give you something you shall always remember, that is so cool.
