[bodytext] => He runs past his memories
of times forgotten
and times misplaced
He can't stop thinking about
all the time that dripped away
Forever arranged
the seasons are now strange
Nothing's changed
Just another dime in a wishing lake
He forgets his future
of times not yet foreseen
not yet experienced and
now low and behold him
He can't stop wondering about
the past that he let slip away
All those unseen faces back again
and haunting him
He cries out in pain but it's
useles to those tortured faces
And their own forgotten places in
their universal entirety
I see only fallen skies, the sun fried
mother earth of his own
I feel only confusion and dissillution
for him and his soul
Peace comes to those who wait
comes to those who pray
But he has no hope now, no faith left
and the words he thinks he'll never say
Forever rearranged
the seasons can't be the same
Nothing's really changed at all
Just another penny in the giving wall

I agree it is so bad to dwell on things you cannot change...it seems that most of us in life take things that we cannot change and dwell deeply into them wondering about the what if's or what could i have done's or the if i had only's.....i think regret plays a big part in this as well, but this is a very inspirational poem ..one which makes a person really think about how to spend your time...and to be careful not to waste it....thank you for sharing this one i am honored to be the first to comment on such beautiful writing...
