I cannot stand this anymore
The silence of the world
The tears that have come forth
They are the only hint
At what occurs within
Everything else under the surface

I hide behind a facade
That can be easily broken down
Misunderstood for everything
Yet accepted as a mistake

This is the life I lead
I would gladly give it back

My world is complete silence
Except for the voices in my head
Yet they too are silencing
I've given up everything
Or its left me on its way

Silence is a killer
When the answer never given
Is the only thing to save you [comments] => 4 [counter] => 149 [topic] => 13 [informant] => essentially9 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 9 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

Communication is the answer.

"Words can break down a wall
heal a broken heart
help a failure to try again
lift the downcast spirit
and cure the ill of the soul"

I was very moved by this piece, you've done a great job conveying your pessimistic and feeling hopeless emotions here.

Silence why is it we are so afraid of it..Why are so many people so upset by it..What can it do to us..Your last stanza was so perfect..What else is new..I think that if you and I were in the same room..Then yes silence would be the killer.
