My life’s yesteryear,
Dwells in eyes as a tear,

For once lived there a preacher,
My beauteous courteous teacher,

Held me in hands solicitous,
He raised me in care meticulous,

Entered my life when it lacked colour,
The sky dearth of stars, the mill void of miller,

Came up like a cloud of fine spray,
Poured life into living that had been grey,

Sang up along him my day my night,
Blazed up my life with him being its light,

But vanished abruptly the angelic elation,
Got put to the test the celestial relation,

His laughter his whisper his gait his trait,
Forsook me forever for a mean twist of fate,

My hands that used to clasp his finger,
Felt bare and lonesome for he wouldn’t linger,

I have left my door a long time ajar,
Ever since he sailed to the skies too far.

A beautiful write for a dear one... A pang of loss that won't abate but will ease, eventually... They say time heals all wounds, but it's not true, it just distances them from your heart...

Your teacher would thank you...

Jaime

i like the couplet scheme...
got some nice phrases in there...
"sailed to skies", "cloud of fine spray", etc.
can't really understand its abstractness though, but its probably personal
