Well I never have, don't, and do not plan to.
My mom is a *****.
We don't get along.

We have never gotten along.
I can see why.
A few minutes with her is like hell.
I don't think we agree on anything.

Almost everday I hear,
"Mary-Colleen you're such a *****!"
Or, "What the hell is wrong with you?"
"Why can't you do anything right?"

Such reassuring statements.
No wonder I've never gotten along with her.
Ever.
We're as far apart as can be.

Everyone says that's normal.
But I don't think so.
I've seen other girls fight with their moms,
And it's not nearly as bad as when I fight with Queen *****.

Even my friends don't like her.
That's pretty sad.
They all tell me they feel bad for me.
All I can do is say, "Thanks."

People tell me I'm just like my mom.
That is the worst possible insult!
I never will be like her!
I'd rather die.

I plan to be smarter than she is,
More successful than she is,
Not nearly as *****y as she is,
And if I have kids I will not treat them like she treats me.

You know what really kills me?
I still have years left with her.
The living hell will continue.
I can't wait to get out of here and away from her.

I really hate when people say I'm just like her.
Because I'm not.
I'm not that horrible.
I'm not like my mom.

sounds so familiar to me I went through this type of thing with my mother as well when I was a teen we are as different as night and day but now things are good between us as it should be part of growing is growing together and its possible. I hope that things work out better for you its hard to have these intense feelings. Maybe one day she will open her eyes to the unique young woman that you are and love the entire you just as you are anything is possible hang in there.

This sounds like the relationship I use to have with my mom but we both changed and things are now better, don't be so hard on. I know what it feels like to be told I cant do things most teens can do and I hate it, but thats just our mothers being mothers and not letting go of us and relizing were not babies anymore. When you mom relizes your not baby anymore Im sure things will change, just for now hang in there and dont let it to you to much sweetie, later in life you will you thank for mother for being this way
keep you chin up and try not to let it bother you to much
always

After reading this your poem I ask myself what would your Mom write about you? would she say the same things about you or would she paint a different picture. It would be good to know.
