I thought of all the spirits, pure, white and prancing.
They darted this way and then the other way, landing so softly,
Then I realized the spirit to loose would be so costly.
They would lift up and glide lost in a maze,
Passing the ones on the way down causing my eyes to glaze.
Silently they would drift by white and pure.
As all my long gone Brothers and Sisters I feel sure,
They whirl around me leaving a sensation I can't explain,
Their loss was actually their gain.
They only enjoyed the pleasures of life for a short season,
But they are with God for a reason.
The time He picks out his children,
To us may be bewildering.
Only can God know,
All the spirits that are pure and white as snow.

All too true,

Nice write.

This is wonderful, Andy. Seems God always takes the good ones, but as my minister once said to me, "why would he want the bad ones?" Made sense to me. I like this piece really well.
