This evil now this day has brought
A kinder child you’d have never found
But far to oft’ pushed to the ground

He’s tried to keep a smiling face
But lately he’s been losing pace
And anger grows within his heart
A burning pain tears him apart

They mock and laugh and criticize
And day-by-day he’s terrorized
A bully’s mark he has become
And to the fear he has succumbed

He sees no path there’s no way out
He wants to die to cry to shout
But in this play his parts been laid
This ignorance has come and stayed

He wonders when this game will end
This snapping twig no more can bend
He’s on the edge and soon will break
He’s never shore how much he’ll take

Another day it’ll be the last
He feels the end it’s coming fast
The bullies there as if by fate
But he beats him down to freedoms gate

Standing over the bleeding boy
He sees the truth hates not a toy
And as the hate drains from his eyes
He sits and weeps and wonders why

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
