for the longest time.
then without warning
my depression came back.

i really wish it hadn't come back
it makes me feel so down
and for the first time in my life
my razor just shown.

i sat down and thought
what am i thinking
you can't ever think this
it''s such a horrid thing.

everything i say
is so very true
i really wish i wasn't
but this morning my thoughts flew.

i don't need help
cause i wont slit or cut
i'll just try to be myself
alone in the dark.

and i won't commit
the most fatal act.
i love the people i know
so if i did
i'd never get them back.

so just leave me alone
and let me be.
i'll work out my problems
very soon
you will see. [comments] => 5 [counter] => 193 [topic] => 32 [informant] => shorty_52 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => SadPoetry )

This should be titled...Depression: it's back.
This is a really nice poem of releasing what is inside bottled up. I'm sure glad you didn't use the razor that day!!! If you ever need to talk, pm me sometime. In the meantime, keep writing! It looks well on you. :-)
Angel always...godspeed...joni

Dear Shorty_52,
Depression is a very special illness that everyone goes though in life. It's not worth killing yourself over anything because life is
special when god brought you into this world.

This is a great poem, and one i can really relate to...it seems you are handling it much better than i did! Depression stinks, but there is a light ahead for you, you created it when you decided to not pick up the razor! If you ever need to talk, pm me! I like the rhyming in this poem as well as the flow. Great job!
