Old age is like Pickles
Cucumbers to dill dribbles.
Old, our minds never grow.
No mirrors? Old person's shadow.

"Wasn't she a cute little old lady?"
"A lot like you Mom, nice and cheery!"
Stunned for one second, "I'm old too?"
It's still a shock when it dawns on you!

Old I've been for quite a while.....
I don't see me old, until I see my profile.
'Tis so true, "Old Age" sneaks up on you.
Accepting "Old" is quite a breakthrough!

Class reunions are usually in June.
Classmates, from old age, are not immune.
One nice thing about age, it's an equalizer.
Everyone gets old, there's not one cheater.

Nibbles, dribbles, fumbles, then drizzles.
Eye glasses, by-passes, a spare part that frizzles.
Walk carefully, canes, walkers, wheelchairs!
I do declare, prepare for more repairs, somewheres!

Rocking chair stage is going to be my best!
Obsessed conquest, confessed digest, unstressed rest.
I've always loved Rocky Chairs, but never had time.
Rocking 'til noontime, mealtime, teatime,
a little booze with lime........sublime!!!

Well, I think you become old when you start believing it. You, my dear, are not old, yet. Body may have some age on it, but your heart and your mind and soul are still very very young and full of life and love. Age is truly just a state of mind. I know some young ones that don't even use their minds and you use yours all the time.

Funny write, but a lot of truth in it.

Rita
