i watch life go by
it flutters by my eyes
theres so much life
theres so much strife

still i watch it all go by

children with mothers
teens with their lovers
fathers with their sons
priests with their guns

still i watch it all go by

the loud clap of thunder
away they go to bunkers
a flash of light
and its early night

still i watch it all go by

i hear the chilling breeze
i hear the victim scream
i see the babies in their grave
bang bang go the guns in the alleyway

still i watch it all go by

the police sirens wail
someone new has gone to hell
the locus strip the crops dry
as frogs fall from the sky

still i watch it all go by

mothers hold their dying child
our leaders are put up on trial
the fire burns down the walls
to the new anarchy laws

still i watch it all go by

theres eternal despair
i can smell it in the air
famon,war,pleagues,and death
a splash of blood on my chest

still i watch it all go by

the horsemen draw nearer
it couldnt be clearer
how id love to play with the skulls
if i hadnt died those many years ago [comments] => 5 [counter] => 161 [topic] => 13 [informant] => Vermillion [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

Awsome write! I loved the message. What hope is there for this screwed up world? I guess it's in human nature to destroy ourselves... Everything has a flaw... I think humans are a flaw in creation... sorry, got lost in thought. Good poem!
