Array ( [sid] => 49077 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Jimmy's Fate [time] => 2004-05-25 15:53:28 [hometext] => This is about my cousin that took his life. Its a little long, but its a good story of how family's deal with suicide. [bodytext] => Jimmy was an average guy,
seemed like he had the perfect life.
He was 24 years old,
3 kids and a beautiful wife.

He went to work that day,
at the construction site he planned.
He reached down in his pocket,
and read the note in his hand.

It was a note he wrote 2 weeks ago,
explaing his fateful day,
He said said sorry to everyone except his wife,
Because he didn't know what to say.

He explained it wasn't her fault,
that this is something he has to do.
At the end of the note he added,
"Bill your the man of he house, and Baby I love you!"

In the afternoon, when he got home,
he walked in with a single rose.
Tears were falling down his face,
he couldn't help it but wipe his nose.

He walked into the bedroom,
put the rose and the note on the bed.
He layed down next to the family picture,
pulled the trigger back, and shot himself in the head.

Later that night when his family got home,
they could tell something was wrong.
They couldn't find Jimmy anywhere,
and they could hear echo's of his wedding song.

Jon, the oldest boy,
was told to go upstairs.
He opened up the door to his parents bedroom,
and screamed, "LIFE'S NOT FAIR!"

The family rushed upstairs,
and couldn't believe their eyes.
They started to question and wonder,
Why Jimmy chose to die?

The youngest child Ryan,
didn't quite understand.
He looked at his dead father,
and grabbed him by the hand.

He said, "Daddy can you hear me?"
Why are you bleeding so heavily?
Was it something that I said?
Daddy are you mad at me?"

A couple of days later,
They layed Jimmy in the ground.
Everyone bowed their heads and prayed,
No one made a sound.

Then after everyone was done,
his wife got up to speak.
She looked like she hadn't slept in days,
Her body was completely weak.

"Thank You every one for comming,
I know Jimmy would have been proud.
I only wish I could have seen his fate.
I wish his whispers would have been loud."

Then Ryan got up to speak again,
and said, "Daddy I'm really scared now.
You always told us not to cry,
But daddy I don't know how."

"I don't know how to stop
the tears from comming down.
I miss the way you read me books,
I just miss the way you sound."

As everyone was leaving,
The family looked back at his grave.
It read "Jimbo we love and miss you,
Don't be scared now, just be Brave!" [comments] => 2 [counter] => 166 [topic] => 39 [informant] => nickibabe421 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Grief )
