Believing the lies you’ve been told
Waiting for a fleeting glimpse
Of the one you can turn to and hold

Don’t let them see the tears that fall
Don’t let them see under the mask
Don’t let them too close as to hurt you
Don’t answer the questions they ask

Stopped at a crossroad, two paths to choose
Which one to take, which one to follow
One leaves you charged and alive
The other one, cold and hollow

The pressure of indecision so great
Legs bend and buckle with the strain
I cannot hold on, I cannot relive
I cannot go on with this pain

And then she’s there before me
In the glory that shines from within
Then once again I wake up from this dream
And wait for the hurt to begin.....

This is good, it does a great job of catching emotions. I loved it.

We all at one time or another come to those crossroads. We sadly do no always take the right path but we can retrace our steps and take another road. Good emotional poem
