I’d tell you if I thought you’d care
It’s illogical but still it’s true
I find pieces almost everywhere

I keep finding pieces of myself
Twisted, hidden in a written verse
Lurking too in the corner of memory
Being broken has been my curse

I keep finding pieces of myself
I must go back and retrace my step
Oh! That I could be like others
And know where they were all kept

I keep finding pieces of myself
They were scattered about in the past
I’m collecting them all in a drawer
Searching until I find the very last

I keep finding pieces of myself
I’m completing the puzzle somehow
No more pieces falling here and there
I put myself back together now

I love the title, and the way the words all flow from one thought to another. Nice work you have done here in conveying what alot of us feel...broken into pieces...in hopes of finding the right piece that fits in.
Angel always...godspeed...joni

I love the way this is pieced together.....no pun intended. "I’m completing the puzzle somehow"
The use of metaphors to explain your broken self and the twist of hope at the end. Absolutely brilliant, Snemmers.
