Act 1, Scene Onerous

Contributed by reprobate on Sunday, 23rd May 2004 @ 12:05:59 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

All the world's a stage, or so I've read
If that's a reality, how am I suppossed to feel
Because true acting uses bits of truth to lie
So much so, that it almost becomes real

How am I to know what to believe
If we're just playing a part
When does it ever become safe
To let someone into your heart

I've experienced this life from up and down
And I've tasted the sweet as well as the sour
There will always be the memories of both
Haunting me...every minute of every hour

So, here I stand, on display before all
Feeling every tick; scared, with scarred pride
Who and where is this flower of my soul
What role must I play to make Fate decide

Yes, I know that feeling. I have been "blown away" before by a person. I did survive and in the end it was for the best. Takes a lot of years to realize it and live with it, but there is a reason for all that happens.
