Its also very disturbing and of course, twisted [bodytext] => Her dress was laced with chloroform
Her lipstick contained cyanide
My folks complained she was trouble
Like a fool I never listened
I was lost behind her blue eyes
For her, I was ready to die

Counting the flies on the ceiling
Just bored and tired of living
She was the first to say the words
I’ll die if you will die with me
Leave this sad world filled with sorrow
End it so there’s no tomorrow

Here we are hands clasped together
Waiting for our blood to run dry
From these slashes right through our wrists
We may have still loved together
But now we can die together
Counting the flies on the ceiling
As this world fades far from our sight

Now the sheets burn red from our blood
One last embrace from this façade
From a life supposedly great
Our lips touch for the last evening
As we both fade away from life
We look into each others eyes
And say goodnight

Laudable write, alec. It says a lot, and is worked out with skill, using some nice rhyming touches.
Thanks for sharing it.

You really do have a talent, for this poem is a beautiful one. I especially love the first stanza and its imagery... its so... unique. You'll go far if you have that much creativity upstairs. Bravo and encore!!!!!!!!!!!
