My miserable reality will be the same
I will still yearn for you
You will still turn away.
You値l casually mingle with your new admirers,
Then greet me with a nonchalant HI,
That will sting me worse
Than your last bitter goodbye.
So why crawl into that pain
When I can stay in my safe confines?
Just shut my eyes and float away
To when the world was mine.
I値l just slip away
To relive all those firsts.
When no one compared to me
When I quenched all your thirst.
No, today I will not get up
To be tortured by your smile.
Not as though you値l miss me.
(Wish I could say the same!)
Instead, I値l go to the beach,
Go walking hand in hand,
With the man who owns my heart
And together we値l watch the waves
Erase our heart-bound names,
Forever from the sand.

A broken relationship always hurts then you learn to move on. It is okay to feel what you feel so long as you grow by it. At least you dream of the day of true love, that makes this poem well worth the write and from my point of view well worth reading.
