Of fragile glass
Cascading down
As moments pass

Sunken eyes
Silently pleading
Can’t stop the monsters
That are feeding

On the bitter crust
Of my jagged soul
Bury me deep
In a 6-foot hole

Beneath the earth
No more to bother
Do me a favour
Tell my father

I’m sorry dad
But I think it’s true
I may have never
Even loved you

You were an ass
You made mistakes
The biggest one was teaching
Me to hate

Not to hate others
That isn’t fair
Only to hate you
Your vacant stare

Your stupid actions
Idiotic words
That I wish I had
Never heard

Don’t pretend
Don’t say “I love you”
It’s bad to lie
I know it’s not true

Lets be honest
Can you see
Just how little
You mean to me?

You were never here
When I needed you most
Nothing there but
The faded ghost

Of memories past
Feelings gone
Now it’s time
That I move on

Close this world
Open the next
I won’t miss you
Even in death.
Goodbye “daddy”. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 181 [topic] => 13 [informant] => blackmarker [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

I am so very sorry your life has been like this. The lack of character of your father seems to have created a deep chasm in your life. Hopefully you can find love somewhere to fill it back up with.

Rita

This is a very good poem, you have much skill. Know this too, you are also unique, and needed, there one day may be one from you so unique too, and needing the right imspiration, needing you.

Thank you for sharing this.
