Array ( [sid] => 48215 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Poems [time] => 2004-05-19 09:08:06 [hometext] => This poem is about those stages that the lost and forlorn go through [bodytext] => I wrote my first poem when I was 9
I called it "seasons"
because that's what it was about
and my english teacher gave me a smiley face
and my parents beamed with pride
and I beamed with pride

When I was 14 I wrote a poem
I entitled it "crushed"
because thats what I was
family, friends, boys; all crushed me
my teacher said it was real poery
my parents exchanged looks
I just felt like crying

About mid-17 I wrote a dark poem.
Gave it the name of "alone"
because thats how i felt day in
and day out...alone
my so called boyfriend was a transparent blur
and everyone else seemingly figments of a hell-like imagination
my high school teacher thought I should seek help
my parents argued over whose fault it was
and I started hating not only them
but me

A few minutes ago I wrote my final poem ]
I called it ..."ending abyss"
because thats what i wanted
everyone i knew depressed me
and I depressed me
The poem told the story
of a troubled girl, who ended it all
she was a heroine
she was my suicide vixen
my professor held a moment of silence on Monday
my parents cried non-stop for weeks
but I had finally found my peace
I felt....nothing
