Why cant I seem to make things right
Why do I feel the anger I hold
Why dont I have faith in the things I'm told
Too many times I've been hurt, the pain so real
And you'll never comprehend all the rage I feel
You've hurt me just as bad as he has in the past
And I find no assurance when you say we went too fast
The words you have forgotten stay so clear in my mind
As I think of the past and the things I left behind
Your words have been harsh, striking me low
As I burry the pain that you'll never know
I remember times of writing about us
Never has it been this dark, we've fallen from above
And with every fight another piece falls
Off the dark red rose that once stood tall
And I search for the answers to find out why
Our love's turned into this kind of rhyme
What I know too well is what I hide
While you continue to become more blind
There's so much wrong, but where to start
To help you see where we're falling apart
But maybe I'm wrong and the problem is me
Because I'm not the girl you want me to be
And as much as you say these words aren't true
You dont have the trust I once held in you
You shattered that in one unforgetable night
As I find myself moving further away from the light
And turning back into who I was before
Chosing not to come back to this side anymore. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 264 [topic] => 32 [informant] => CuttersAngel [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 14 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => SadPoetry )

a very good, sad, aching poem. That is why what I said in my e-mail... I know it came across as harsh, but I felt it needed to be said. In any case a great poem...
