If I never see the morning’s rise
I’ll sell my story to the stars
And let it be seen by everyone’s eyes

Whenever it is I leave this earth
I won’t leave them all empty-handed
I’ll show them the path I took
And only hope they understand it

I’m not sure I want to come home just yet
Even though this world can be so cold
I hope it’s not over, nevertheless
‘Cause I haven’t that special thing to hold

If I turned around after some while
And caught only a reflection of the perfect me
Would I be so content with everything,
That it’d be only myself I see?

I promise myself, one of these days
I’ll be honest and actually care
About how my life here will end
Even though I think it got me nowhere [comments] => 3 [counter] => 318 [topic] => 21 [informant] => Schnikes13 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 4 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )
