Array ( [sid] => 48090 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => The Dinner [time] => 2004-05-18 15:12:28 [hometext] => I wrote this back in 2002 when Mark and me first really got together. [bodytext] => Last Friday you cooked a meal for me,
You showed your true feelings and they ran free,
No-one has ever done that for me before,
It made me feel special right through to my core.

You even cooked my favourite meal,
How loved can one woman feel,
You might think it wasn’t much,
But my heart , deeply it did touch.

After we’d eaten we had a drink together,
We belong as one like birds of a feather,
We curled up close on the settee,
So much in love, just you and me.

I’ll hold that night close to my heart for an eternity,
All of a sudden you turned to me,
You told me how deep your love does run,
And how you enjoy being with me and of all the fun.

As the night was drawing to it’s end,
I realised not only are you my lover, also a treasured friend,
I appreciate every single thing that you do,
I’d never take you for granted, that is true.

The aroma of food and love flowed that Friday,
I’ll love you always come what may,
Mark this is my thank-you for the lovely dinner,
I know in you, I’ve picked myself a real winner!
