No chance to go outside and run
Sitting here with nothing to do
It makes me feel so sad and blue

Mom has an idea

We can go here or there
Near or far, we don’t even need a car
With our imagination we can go anywhere
Visit the pyramids, or swing on a star

Close your eyes and hold on tight
Let’s use our minds to take a flight
Flying high above in a plane
In the clouds let’s write our name

The clouds are white
The time is right
To soar with birds that fly
Watch them go up, up so high

We can visit beaches in far away lands
Dance in the water, and play in the sand
Watch out for the crap that crawled in your shoe!
With our imagination there’s no limit to what we can do

The sky is blue
The ocean too
It’s a nice day to take a trip
Aboard a great big floating ship

Let’s put on a space outfit
Hop in the chair, now don’t let go
This is it!!
Even when it’s rainy there’s so much we can do!!

This is an excellent write! I remember doing this with my class when I started teaching years ago... sadly I haven't done it in quite a while.
Thanks for reminding me how great these journeys can be....

Imagination's a valuable thing- I don't know what I'd do without it! Nice write- it made me want to go out on an adventure!
