I drown from this lit world
I feel myself dragging down
not so long ago I felt the warmth of night
embrace me
it let me go too soon
I sink to the bottom of this world again
reflecting upon my life
as the light outside reflects
upon the horror in my soul
I cry out hoping night will hear
and come for me
but I must wait so patiently
so upsettingly wait
I wait for night to come
to feel that beauty again
I must go through the torture
the pain
awaking to find the morning
awaking to see them
the people I long to stay away from
the dawn brings them
and the night washes them away
I wish to escape
to dream a dream through the day
and to end the night with a knife
and never see this world again
as the night comes this horrid soul smiles [comments] => 1 [counter] => 143 [topic] => 13 [informant] => pam [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )
