thought number two:
wings were made to be broken
(never try to glide.
never try to soar.

thought number three:
dreams were made to be broken

thought number four:
trust was made to be broken
(do not let yourself trust.
do not let yourself be trusted.
ever.)

people were made to be broken
(do not try to be a person.
do not let yourself get broken.
ever.)

Meh! Screwed up on the last bit . . . it was supposed to be:

thought number five:
people were made to be broken
(do not try to be a person.
do not let yourself get broken.
ever.)

Thank you, and have a nice day!

Sorry 'bout that.

I hope things are ok. Are they? This was a different write. I believe every single word of it. It's sad really. *S* Cynthia

I could really identify with thought number four. Heck, I could relate to the whole poem. I loved this poem to bits. Exceptional write. You've outdone yourself with this one. :)

Wow...
This was powerful and I agree with you very depressing.
I guess I'll just have to risk myself to these atrocities though.

Very nice poem, albeit on a downer.
I think you've done a great job here.
Well done.

This comes to the heart of the matter beautifully, but it serves to help us choose the other road... the one it advises against. But I agree, things would be so much easier sometimes to think like this brochure. It would take the light out of life, though.
Great job!
Andrew
