The house goes quiet
Except for the weeping of a broken heart
A drunk passes out
Now the fear floats away

I still say in my room
I can read my bible with no fear

I've just posted "Father" today.... and was taken aback by how similar your write was in places. I understand "all goes quiet".... I used "numb and silent" throughout my peice. It struck a cord. Very good write!
