The Girl

Contributed by gothikangel on Monday, 17th May 2004 @ 12:36:52 PM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

A girl sits alone
at a table far from everybody
a razor blade in her hand
thinking noone else can see
skillfully she cuts herself
red slashes on her arm
I read about this somewhere
I know its called self-harm
She closes her eyes and shoves it deep
It stops the pain inside
Taking it to a different level
a pain of a different kind
A small smile on her face
she looks down at the blood on her skin
for every cut on her arm tells
the story of a battle she did not win
Now she spots someone approaching
puts her razor under her books
scared shes attracting attention
but noone really looks
now shes looking out the window
cant believe what she sees
it's my reflection in the window
that scared little girl is me
