The pros and cons of death I search to find,
If I left this world would people miss me?
If I died would I then truly be free.

Free from the torment and life’s woes,
When you die does it stop no-one knows,
My head and heart are locked in a constant war,
To stay where I am, or knock on heaven’s door.

I came close to death awhile ago,
I wanted a favour, but God didn’t want to know,
By keeping me here, spoke volumes to me,
There must be so much more he wants me to see.

I think of all the people who I’d be leaving behind,
Leaving them all and deserting mankind,
There’d be a trail of deep hurting if I were deceased,
I’d be leaving my loved one’s with no sense of peace.

Do I carry on or take the easy way out?
Shall I sneak off to heaven when no-ones about,
Now would my knocking be heard at the door,
Or would I be given a chance just as before?

this is really intelligently written! First of all the spin on to be or not to be? (to die or not to die) as the title which then links on to the first stanza of the poem! GEnious! This is probably one of the better suicide poems that I've read!
