WRITE AND SIT!

Contributed by emystar on Sunday, 16th May 2004 @ 10:38:38 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

It's usually past dawn
when I lay down my head.
Some days it's dark
before I rise to start.

Then I write and sit
oblivious to the dark.
Reading, writing,
burning nite oil,
just cleansing my soul
Write and sit, sit, sit.

Winding down with sun up
laying down to rest
Can't shut down this brain.
Gonna write and sit, again.

Reading, writing, sitten
Always dreamed of this.
Nothing else to do
but read-n-write with you.

I feel with you on this poem. I sit and write, Lay down ,get up,sit and write it can go on for hours. I just have to be as quiet as a mouse so as not to wake the wife. The reward is sometimes a poem that makes me feel high.

I think there must be many of us like that. I do my best thinking at night. Seems the brain works better by moonlight.

Hugs,
Rita
