A Dreamer Who Forgot How To Dream

Contributed by maryetta on Thursday, 13th May 2004 @ 02:40:53 PM in AEST
Topic: Grief

her passing was quiet but she finally resolved things
i will miss her terribly but she is now a whole entity
now will be the time for me to pull my life together again
it wont be easy without momma but i will somehow
she was a dreamer who forgot how to dream

the hardest part of a loss like this is the emptiness
but you can use your memories to fill some of the void
her room sits empty but i will put it back in shape
all that will be gone will be her clothes all else stays
she was a dreamer who forgot how to dream

do i enshrine her memory no she was human she had faults
but she had a history she had a life those. . . those maybe
she shouldnt be forgotten i want her to show the way
i want her memory to be proud of who she was her legacy
she was a dreamer who forgot how to dream

yes she was human she was not a saint but she did inspire
and for this i wish to recognize momma for who she was
she was my mother she nutured me for nine months
she brought me into this world she gave me life
she was a dreamer who forgot how to dream
