and she was destined to be cold forever

Days and nights were empty and lonely
And this had become her life
She had become like the winter, chilled and bitter

Walls of ice were built to protect her
Scars were covered and hidden
She smiled and laughed when she was supposed to
So that no one would ever know how empty she was inside

Winter came to end,and spring brought the sun
He warmed her days and soothed her nights
He was her future, her past, her everything
They were meant to be because that was the way it was intended

This was what she had always dreamed life would be
He would kiss her scars and protect her from herself
He would love her and and shelter her from the cold

But soon winter came again
And the sun disappeared, her nights became cold and lonely
Again she covered her scars, she rebuilt her walls
She became winter again, because that was the way
it was intended to be.

This is painfully sad. Mostly because I have been through this cold and also felt the summer sun only to have the winter come again. Beautiful write.
