the mist rolls in
on little dove wings
becoming thicker; overlooking

barn, treelines, mountain horizen
bringing subtle gentle cooing songs
to float along sky of morning doves
whilst nature sings

on silent haunches
wild things roam, frogs speak
one rabbit makes a hasty retreat
for this misty forest is their home

many times this mist she has seen
as into flowing river
drinking deer leans

And doesn't it make the day start off just perfectly. I love looking down toward the pond and seeing the animals drinking and the little ones playing. Right now you can't even walk outside because we have millions of 1/2 baby frogs everywhere. They are adorable. This is a beautiful piece of heaven, Nessa.

Awwwwww, Nessa, this is gorgeous *smiles*. As vivid imagery as ever and I swear I could just about see that deer . . . the whole poem sounds very like Carl Sandburg's "Fog" (a good thing)-- ever read it? :)

Ah mist is good topic, the prettier and less foreboding version of fog lol. A very surreal sounding almost fantasy like poem. It makes me think of Ireland, Scotland or any of the Celtic Isles where you always see those really nice pictures of green grass, rocky mountians, and always looming fog. Just as a curiosity why does everybody always keep the subject as Re: whatever it struck me as a bit odd. Anyway thanks for reviewing Terra...I write review not comment because I like the idea of a review over a comment...it implies a more thoughout responce and/or criticism.

Ladyfawn, i believe you caught mother nature by the pen.
it was great reading this
i heard my own style of describing moments in nature, in this poem.
thoughtful touches thoughout misty morning
and not so heavy it became foggy mourning
(laughs) like more than a few of mine do. ; )
