Array ( [sid] => 47190 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => WHAT I WANT IN A MAN [time] => 2004-05-12 10:47:07 [hometext] => Life is constantly changing, with adjustments each day. Those that remain happy, are those that recognize this, and accept it for what it is.....even if it's just a little kiss. [bodytext] =>

"WHAT I WANT IN A MAN"

When you are young and curvaceous
Pretty teeth and long hair looseness.
A man all picked out that's very handsome.
Charming, witty, romantic, with an income.
A good shape, and dresses with style.
Caring listener, romantic lover, very virile!
Appreciates the finer things of life,
Full of surprises, loves the night life!
Thoughtful, imaginative, polite sweetness.
Beautiful curly hair, muscles, with braveness!

Then after 32, a revision takes place

Good looking (prefer man with hair)
Opens your car door, holds your chair.
Money enough for a nice dinner.
Listens more than talks with coffee after.
Likes my jokes and laughs every time
Can think of other things besides bedtime.
Carries bags of groceries with ease.
Owns a nice suit with at least one tie to please.
Home-cooked meals are appreciated.
Remembers birthdays, anniversaries not listed.
Seeks romance at least once a week.
At the age of 32, that's the kind of man I'd seek.

At the age of 42, another revision list.......

I wouldn't mind having a head that is bald.
He can't be too ugly though, I'd be appalled.
He won't drive off until I'm in the car.
He does work, sometimes dinner, not just a bar.
When I'm talking he nods his head.
Punch lines of jokes he can recall, no "airhead."
Good enough shape to move furniture.
His shirt covers his tummy without a clincher.
Never buys champagne with screw top lids.
Puts the toilet seat down, cold water for me rids.
Almost never forgets my name.
Can walk by himself, isn't too lame.

Age 52 mean revisions still.....

Make a point to be mentioned in his will.
Keeps hair in nose and ears trimmed.
His moustache and beard not untrimmed.
Doesn't belch, fart, or scratch in public.
Doesn't borrow money often, pays back like magic.
Doesn't retell the same joke too many times
Gets off the couch on weekends sometimes.
Wears matching socks and fresh underwear.
Loves TV dinners so we don't have to go anywhere
Shaves somes weekends, showers too.
Has some value of virture.

When 62 rolls around another change.....

I'll put my foot down, he can't hate children
Can find the bathroom with caution.
He takes little money for up keep.
Only snores lightly when asleep.
When he laughs, he can remember why?
Is able to stand up by himself, on me not rely
Actually wears clothes once in a while...
Likes soft foods, can find his teeth mean while.
Hope he could remember it's the weekend.
And some of his money he should spend.

I'm now past 72....and all I want.....

I'd like a man that can still walk and talk.
Stands by himself, and hits the toilet.
Still breathes with some spirit.....
Moves by himself while in bed.
Won't choke when he's hand-fed.
Just so he's alive and kicking............
I'll sit by his bedside and do my knitting
He doesn't even have to listen,
Comforting to know he is there.....just for a little kissin'

I got this off line
from a dear friend
The poem is mine.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"That man never grows old who keeps
a child in his heart!"
(This saying above reminded me of Norm and Wrybod our two older gentlemen on YPDC)
"Aging Smiles, but home free!"
