Cressida sits,
back 'gainst the moon,
A whisper of cotton,
Leaves skin too soon,
A flash of bright headlights,
Flurries up close,
Here is the man,
She desires most.
Is it that he
Belongs to another,
Or that he is simply,
Her in-lawed brother...
Under this night,
Rolling fiercly in sin,
She opens her arms,
Beckons him in.
Tears in the morning,
Blurting out truth,
A foul smelling scent,
OF long burnt out youth
Runs through the morning,
With a sting to deceive,
For a child of torn future,
They did conceive.

A very interesting title proved to be a very interesting write!
I really like the way you drew me into this story, and the descriptive element you include is quite delectable.
"Runs through the morning,
With a sting to deceive, "
Very impressive item of poetry here.
Well done. |
