Who tempt me through the night and day
Yet so meaningless to me
When compared to all I see

Witness do I all such strengths
As we spend our time in lengths
How I enjoy his company
A spirit kindred and true is he

Yet still, he wastes his pleasant charms
He cares not who is in his arms
Hoping he will someday see
To my heart, he holds a key

Doubting on my door he’d knock
On the shelf sits my heart’s lock
It's his love for which I plea
But I’m just its casualty [comments] => 6 [counter] => 156 [topic] => 33 [informant] => liquidsunshine [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 20 [ratings] => 4 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => SecretLove )

Liquid, Don't take this too seriously if he's still sowing oats. An insightful write. I like the flow and movement through it.

Interesting title!
Ah, what a strange whirlwind the youth of life is!
(have I said that before?)

Ten stinking days, Andrew, ten stinking days...
But the poem was really well written. But you may want to watch your heart a little more closely.
Take care.
David
