Eccentric Freinds

Eccentric Friends.

Hot was the weather-cold was my friend,
He & I together, had this peculiar trend
To hold hands and tiptoe in the burning sand,
Our chortling would spread across the whole land.

Little children would laugh heartily,
‘Young adults’ carousing, a kind of perversity,
For we would sneak off, with their clothing and shoes,
While they reveled merrily in the pool.

Little they were, and shyness was distant;
Pursuing our tracks, fully naked,
Dancing behind us, a nudist colony,
Enjoying the pursue, we ran, jovially!

Hot was the weather-cold was my friend,
As I recall the past times we spent,
Cold he is, cold as can be,
In his grave, having fun without me.

-Thivanka
