[hometext] => I wrote this poem for my daughter shortly after my wife and I seperated.
[bodytext] => Your eyes are a crystal window,
Into your inner feelings. Through them I can glimpse your soul, And tell me what you're thinking. I like to watch them glimmer, When you're full of mischief, Or round and wide with innocence. Oh, Wondrous and tiny waif! They're full of light when you're happy, And fire when you're mad. But now you've got me worried, Because lately they've been sad. When I look into your eyes, I can see they're full of pain, And it rips my heart apart, To see your face, lined with tears again. I want to hold you tightly in my arms, And make you feel all right. To take away the nasty fears, That haunt you day and night. Sometimes I don't know what to say, To help you understand, That I know what you're going through, So I just hold you're hand. I want to see the life return, And sparkle in your eyes, Brighter, than the brightest stars, In heavens, darkened skies.
