[bodytext] => He sat awaiting the light of morn, The broken body in his arms. Pray, why she tried to flee this Earth? This wicked hell, bathed in her charms But now she’s slumbered in the cold, Shaded by the dust of old. The water engulfed her silken skin And violently strangled her blissful voice. Churning waves raged o’er the rocks. What possessed her to make this choice? Her cheeks are frosted in starry glow, Fading the azure from her eyes. Her hands were stilled and cold with dew And bade me sing these cries. But now she’s slumbered in the cold, Shaded by the dust of old. Glittering crimson approaches the clouds, But her face shows shades of grey. The dawn was bleeding into the skies. Last the amber morn, I pray. Her beauty stilled by dew-kissed lashes, Fading into morning light. Her frozen lips touched sullen grave, Strangled now by vicious blight. But now she’s slumbered in the cold, Shaded by the dust of old. And here the dawn comes, smiling wry. But she missed the sun by minutes nigh.
