Something infected them, it was so sublime,
It injected them into a world filled with love,
Where they flew in the sky so far above

If life was so simple, then love was so hard,
Simple enough, 'I love you' engraved in a card,
But eventually things had to fall apart,
If life can die, then two lovers could part

But even with misfortune, love and hate,
They could not leave, and they could not wait,
In a world always slowly rotating,
And people even faster; always hating

It was decided that if they couldnt have each other
Then no other person in the world could,
So they clasped a knife in each of their hands,
And as the sun collapsed below the land,
They embraced, and gave themseleves to ashes [comments] => 3 [counter] => 460 [topic] => 22 [informant] => alecfernadez [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 9 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LostLove )

wow. simply beautiful but tragic. it is so true in the world of love that sometimes we feel that if we can not have love, than no other can either. beautiful write.

the romantic period is over, yet the style flourishes evermore. do i like this? oh yes, but the cynicism eats me away for some reason. egh, don't mind me - good write. ;0)
