In the moonlight
Your tears were bright
It hurts me to know
My friend was in a fight
That day your heart cried out
It called out for a friend
And I stepped forward to its call
To make the teardrops end
But now I've come to see
That they are here to stay
Yet my duty as a friend
The tears to wipe away
I just want you to know
Of my life you're a part
I do love you Carrie
You've a place in my heart
