MOUNTAIN'S SONG

Above timberline, melodious echoes of streams.
Rushing over knolls like my dreams.
Stoic Granite Rocks watch and listen.
Mountain dwellers red paint brush glisten.

Scattered over lush mountain side.
Bluebells, like children, atop snow slide.
Fields of daffodils sway with yearning.
Perfect rhythm. heads n'er turning.

Symphonic smells of trees are brimming.
Pines alert the coming new earthlings.
Wee fawn deer nestled among new grass.
Scampering squirrels guard -no trespass.

Paths of glass, melting snow trickles fast,
Mother bear and cubs stir, 'tis Spring at last!
Melodies of mountains memories........
Gushing waterfalls, recall joyful beauties.

Hummingbirds hover strumming on Jew's Harp.
Bald Eagles soar hunting eyes sharp.
Long-legged Jack Rabbits bound and bounce.
"Catch us if you can!" they stay still to announce.

Earth's slow warming for those beneath.....
Long winter's nap, appetites wishes bequeath.
Cold blooded snakes, partners of earth worms.
Prairies dogs, tiny mice, begin their squirms

Snare drums of newly formed leaves......
Can you hear their rustling encouraging breeze?
Colorful birds do their part, singing from their heart.
Splendid mountain, majestic, and wise,
Witness, overcome with it's beauty, cries.........

Magnificent piece of work. Beautiful scene. Spring is in its glory here too. Color everywhere you look. New life beginning everywhere. The earth is renewed again for another beautiful season. This is such a joy to read. Peace and serenity abound.

Well written poem Connie it tells of a perfect spring and that all is well in your part of the world. This is worth more than the five points allowed. I am disapointed not to give you at least one hundred for this superb piece of writing.
