must we wallow in our own sorrows? or reach out into the world to make a glitterin' bit of light unto another souls place in the world? why are we even here when the earth rotates so slowly that whence we close our eyes it is once again time to open them, blinded by the sun; rubbing sleep away and muttering about another long day of light, when if we try just a bit it may be a lightness of being, a yearning in the heart, a peace in the mind, a warmth smiling in the soul, will we allow it, let it flow through us, or rush back under the covering quilts of night?

Oh Nessa you said it so well, when life becomes too much for me to handle....I slide under those quilts of the night! Silence, tranquility, no cares, no goods, just pining away in my own self pity. Used to be I could find a soul to console, or one to help with their load. A small child to guide, and help him to understand. Not so now.....people aren't interested in listening.....and just as a example looked what happened to our dear Jenni Girl....we all loved her so much, she had to step aside for the evil....because she had character, and in the name of peace made so many sacrifices to cover up for this heartless person. I just loved this poem Nessa....it reeks of truth, and marks the times we live in. We better all wake up and watch the sunrise before it's too late!
Marvelous write
love you

While I may prefer the 'quilts of night', I do venture out into the light occasionally. This one time I'm glad I did. It would have been difficult to read this lovely piece in the dark.
Great write. Thanks for sharing!

Just call me 'Sissy Sunshine'. I so love the light of day. Too many menacing creature in the dark. Evil abounds and works under those covers to do the evil deeds to others. Sometimes, as in this instance, they do get found out and detected and it gives us the weapon to defeat them with, called TRUTH. This is not how you meant your beautiful piece of work, but fact is fact and should be recognized. I love your work, Nessa and hope I have not upset you.

Rita

Whoa, Nessa, hate to be unoriginal :D but this is just beautiful . . . the type of poem you bookmark (just did so) and go back to read again and again and again . . .

Now, sorry, I'd say more, but I have to go reread this :).
